Kylie + Thomas - The Lakehouse

Kylie & Thomas were married on a drizzly day by the mostly frozen Lake Massapoag. The Lakehouse itself is a newly renovated and modern space filled with all things beige and beautiful, if you’re into that kinda thing. I find the room to be too warm without any pops of color (like greens or blues) to balance it out. Editor Mike had trouble color correcting this one. If you are considering this venue, I’d import some greenery or use some cool colored table clothes or something. In nicer weather, it would have been great to walk down to the lake shore with the couple, but it was not to be in March 2026. I can imagine shooting outside in spring or summer, but there is absolutely no shade, so the lighting would be challenging and everyone would have sun in their eyes as the sun sets over the lake. The indoor ceremony worked very well, but the flow of the space is not entirely ideal with some poorly placed closets and no ‘defined’ dance floor. Fine venue for a wedding, but not the absolute best for your photo/video team. I’m a sucker for dramatic dresses and Kylie’s was amazing. Want wedding photos or videos?
