I recently released my time lapse created for BioPharm Engineered Systems out of Andover, MA and it was picked up by CamDo Solutions, the manufacturer of the Blink Controllers I used to film the massive project. You can check out that article here.

This time lapse was filmed over 5 months using GoPro’s with the CamDo Blink controllers strapped to the back. “What do the controllers do”, you might ask? Well, essentially they are programmable timers that allow you to set the start and stop time, interval, and daily schedule for when the cameras actually shoot. I was able, for example, to restrict shooting to only weekdays so that I wouldn’t record unnecessary frame that I would have to eliminate later in post. That also saved me hard drive space. I could shoot from 6 AM when the work day started to 6 PM when it ended and not overnight when the lights were out. While the GoPro Hero 4’s I used were a little bit limiting in manual control and resolution of the images, they were (as all GoPros are) very mobile and easy to position. I even got to strap one to a crane! Check out the results of 5 months’ worth of pictures (Well over 40,000 images) sped up and edited into a nice fun video:
